Kelly felt like Chinese food so we surfed the net and found Mission 261. The name is very un-Chinese hor? But this famous restaurant is so-called cos' it is located in a historical district where the Spanish missionaries first arrived in Los Angeles.
We didn't know what to expect and were surprised to discover that Mission 261 is a fine dining Chinese restaurant. There's even gu-zheng and pipa performers!
Food was a mixture of Hongkong and American style, so-so only. Probably won't go back anytime soon.
